Mighty Ducks--FLASH FRIDAY 55
Every Friday write a poem, story or limerick of 55 words, no more, no lessAnd then report to the G-man!!
The sea of green and yellow shouting out encouragement, excitement and hope. Dreams sought, some lost but for some the dream came true. The fierce battle to cross the line, get to the winning side where the music bellowed from the band. How often do you see a duck beat a beaver for a rose?
My girlfriend is a HUGE Oregon Ducks fan and she doesn't have cable, doesn't watch a lot of TV. She brought soup to us tonight so that she could use our TV to watch the Civil War between Oregon University (Mighty Ducks) and Oregon State (Beavers). It was a great game and a lot of fun...and the ducks beat the beavers for the rose...rose bowl that is!!

Great 55! Sounds like you had a nice time last night ~ you need to be able to do that for yourself. Hope you and hubby come to some resolution with bro and son.
I'm up:
Friday Flash 55 ~ Sobering 55
nice 55! cant believe football season is already coming to a close. sounds like you had a great time...would imagine so at such a rivalry game!
mine is uP!
Oh my gosh! this brings back some wild memories! I lived in Oregon in the early 80's and was in a rock band that played all the college bars at both OSU and U of O. When they played each other we always had crazy stuff happen that night no matter which town we were in or which team won.
This was fun to read! We have the Mighty Ducks here in So Cal too :)
MOM...
I'm glad somebody's team was successful this year.
Excellent 55 My Dear.
Thanks for this joyous and upbeat story.
Have a Kick Ass Week-End...G
You always come up with such clever 55's! It's like our USC and UCLA games...insanity always seem to follow those two teams! Sounds like you had a FUN night!
oh my gosh!! i used to go to the parade, when we were little kids dad would take us down there after the parade to see the floats up close, i always thought it was so magical what they could do with flowers!!
my mother used to camp out on the streets in pasedena when she was a little girl, and when the parade would start my uncle would go get my grandmother, having saved her a good seat, and it being just around the corner from where they lived. very cool, glad you enjoyed the game!!
