She stands in front of the mirror wondering who is staring back at her. What happened to the woman with the joyful heart, flowing hair, healthy body? Was it all an illusion or does she still exist in the reflection? The clock ticks, she runs out the door to start her day, whoever she is.
Every Friday write a poem, story or limerick of 55 words, no more, no lessAnd then report to the G-man!!

Looking in the mirror and wondering what and who looks back has been my personal struggle. I am finally beginning to like the image I see.
You captured in just 55 words what that is like. Brava!
My 55 is done and posted here.
Have a great weekend.

I know her!
Excellent 55!
great 55, she is still in there she just needs to sift through the clutter and be there for herself. once she starts to take care of herself she will find herself again.
It's hard to watch the outsides change as we age. You captured it so well in 55 words! I like to think the insides just keep getting younger!
Beautifully written Mom..
Excellent 55!!
This absolutely captures the essence of the theme...You Rock!!!
Thanks for visiting, thanks for playing, and have a Great Week-End..Galen
The older I get the less I like my mirror.
Great 55
Mine is posted
HERE.
Beautiful....
The only "meme" I do is Furry Fridays but I do it on Saturdays ~ hence African Pygmy Mice today at mine ... anyhow I just wanted to say how much I luurve Pre-Raphaelite painting. I'm pretty sure the purists sneer at it, but I think all that pale skin, long hair and wan expression gothick-mediaevalism's really funky!
I can relate..but you can have your joy back. You have to claim it for yourself. Now the flowing hair and healthy body..that may take a little more time;)
Who did this painting and what is it called?
