If you do someone else's homework, they do not learn their own lessons. If you give support but allow them to do their homework then they learn their lessons. It appears that by doing other's life homework for them, I have not done my own homework and therefore am not learning my own life lessons.

I think we can be so focused on the needs of others that we forget there are some lessons in all of this for us. Great post.
I like it!! At least I think I understand...like you give a man a fish, you've fed him for the day...you TEACH 'em to fish he's fed for life'.

That realization in itself is a big lesson & half the battle won!
